What is Faith Across Ages?

One of the defining qualities of Sacred Heart’s parish family is our commitment to building community among people of all ages and stages of life. Faith Across Ages (FAA) is an intergenerational faith-sharing ministry that offers short-term programming throughout the year.
In a FAA program, the whole community gathers first for celebration and refreshments. Then, young people break out into their own parallel activities, while adults hear a presentation and have small group discussion. When the young people return, they share with the large group, and each of the adult small groups do the same, so that everyone can learn from one another’s lived experiences of faith.

The inaugural program for Faith Across Ages was built around Season 1 of the show The Chosen and took place over 8 weeks in Fall, 2022 (see flyer below). It had an average of 60 people of all ages each week, and at the end of the program, participants weighed in:
• 73% felt a sense of belonging in the community
• 71% met someone new that they’ll keep in touch with after the sessions are over
• 68% deepened their relationship with God by watching The Chosen

How do I get involved with Faith Across Ages?

Email Lisa Priestap at lisa.priestap@gmail.com or staff member Jessie Hubert at jessie.sacredheart@gmail.com for information on current and upcoming programs.
We are also always welcoming volunteers for FAA programming, including kitchen helpers, small group discussion leaders, babysitters and children’s programming leaders, and tech support! This all-hands-on-deck ministry has space at the table for everyone with their gifts to share, desires to help, and vision for building an intergenerational community of faith.
